BOSTON, MA – United South End Settlements (USES) is pleased to announce after an extensive search process the selection of Julie Burkley as our new Vice President of Programs.
“I’m so thrilled to be joining the United South End Settlements team,” said Julie. “It’s exciting to join an organization with an impressive history of community support. The programs here are such a valuable resource to so many people.”
USES is a Boston based non-profit that is working to strengthen families and build community by improving the education, health, safety and economic security of individuals and families in Boston’s historic South End/Lower Roxbury.
Julie comes to USES with over 15 years experience in project development, management, and policy work in the nonprofit arena. She comes most recently from the United Way of Massachusetts Bay and Merrimack Valley, where she focused on workforce development strategy, providing technical assistance to a network of financial stability centers, and helped manage a special project on performance management.
“Julie is truly connected and committed to our mission here at USES,” said USES President and CEO Maicharia Z. Weir Lytle. “I am proud to welcome her to the team and look forward to the positive progress she will bring about.”
