Which STEAM Week is Right for You?

December 23-27, 2019

(Closing at 2pm on 12/24 and closed on 12/25)

Topic: Movement

Activities:
STEAM based projects on motors which include making trains, cars and boats move, dace and body movement, and field trips including Ice skating and local Boston events.

December 30, 2019–January 3, 2020

(Closing at 2pm on 12/31 and closed on 1/1)

Topic: Motion

Activities:
STEAM based projects exploring kinetic and potential energy through paper roller coasters and balloon powered vehicles. Field Trips include roller skating and a New Year’s Eve celebration.

February 18–21, 2020

(Closed on Monday 2/17)

Topic: You've Got Talent

Activities:
This week will be focused on the Arts in STEAM - We will be studying performance arts, fine tuning our own talents and skills and will host a final performance with props  Field Trips will include visiting a theater and seeing a live performance.  Everyone will be able to participate from creating backdrops to performing!

April 21–24, 2020

(Closed on Monday 4/20)

Topic: Architecture, Building & Bridges

Activities:
This week will be focused on the Engineering and Mathematics in STEAM.  Activities will include building structures to support various weights,  building with hammer and nails, cup structures and room layouts. Field Trips will include visits to construction sites, local bridges an Architecture firm!

For same day care on Snow Days, contact Kaiti Coffin, Director of ECE and Out of School Time, at kcoffin@uses.org. Please note that USES is open on Snow Days unless the Governor declares a State of Emergency.

Tuition per day: $65
