Week 1 : Getting to know music

Description: Join me as we begin our virtual music adventure. Let’s sing together and review some important terms in the music language such as tempo and rhythm and try to make our own instruments at home using tissue boxes, pots and pans, and cereal boxes.

Description: Let’s sing some more songs and learn what the word “pitch” means by seeing STEAM in action. What happens when we fill up water glasses with different levels of water and play them using a kitchen spoon?

Description: What sounds can you find in your neighborhood? Join me as I listen to the sounds I can hear on my very own front porch and help me sing to my garden so that it will grow!

Week 4: The wheel of the water!

Description: Join me as we learn about the importance of preserving water and learn about where our water comes from. In this lesson we’ll learn how to make our very own ocean drums and learn what the word “round” means in music.

Week 5: Earth Week Music

Description: Let’s learn why it’s so important to take care of our planet. Help me celebrate Mother Earth with the help of some very special guests. We’ll sing to Mother Earth and then we’ll create our very own rain sticks.

Week 6: Rain rain go away!

Description: Join me as we explore the best songs to sing on a rainy day. We’ll revisit our rain sticks and create our very own thunderstorms using household items. Then, we’ll talk about rainbows and explore a new instrument; the ukulele.
