ReadBoston Visits 48 Rutland St

Last week, ReadBoston visited the USES’ Early Childhood Education students at 48 Rutland St. for a Halloween storytelling session.

ReadBoston’s Anna Adler performed The Little Old Lady Who Was Not Afraid of Anything by Linda Williams and led the students in singing Hooky Spooky and All the Leaves Are Falling Down. The kids were all pros by the time the second verse came around.

Picking Out a Book From ReadBostonThe children were very excited to pick books for their classrooms and to take home and enjoy. They choose from Corduroy’s Best Halloween Ever, We’re Off to Find the Witch’s Hat, Eek Stories to Make You Shriek, and Mouse’s First Halloween. The goal of getting these kids excited about reading was clearly accomplished.

ReadBoston provides schools, after-school programs, early childhood centers, and families with resources to set Boston’s children on the path to reading success.
