Reporting to the Director of Talent the Human Resources, the Generalist is responsible for HR-related duties on a professional level. Functional areas include: payroll and benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, recruitment and onboarding, policy implementation, affirmative action and employment law compliance. The HR Generalist will demonstrate exceptional generalist, relationship building, communication, and project management skills, with the ability to think innovatively, have impeccable discretion, and a can-do mentality.
The Infant/Toddler Teacher works directly with infants/toddlers aged 3 months to 2.9 years of age from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds. Infant/Toddler teachers are responsible for direct supervision of children, small group instruction, and providing a nurturing atmosphere to enhance the children's educational and social development. S/he is expected to conduct and document observations, use screening and assessment tools, and work with a co-teacher to develop and plan theme-based curriculum. Infant/Toddler teachers are expected to work closely with families to promote family program involvement. This job is full-time, 35 hours per week, Monday-Friday.
Teachers teach in teams with low child-to-adult ratios. Fulltime Classroom teachers work 35-hours per week and these positions require:
• DEEC infant/toddler certification.
• CDA or Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred.

Reporting to the Director of Early Childhood Education, the Full-Time Preschool Teacher will work in various classrooms as needed. The children range in ages from 2 years 9 months to 6 years. The position is full-time (35 hours/week) Monday through Friday.
This position reports directly to the Director of Early Childhood Education. This position will assist ECE Teachers in our preschool, toddler and infant classrooms. This position is on an "on-call" basis. Individuals would be on the ECE substitute list and contacted when coverage for a shift is needed. This can be a week long assignment or assignment on a daily basis.
Assistant Group Leaders report to the Director of Club48 and are responsible for assisting with the daily planning and implementation of small group activities, including daily STEAM activities, and direct supervision of children 5 to 12 years of age. Assistant Group Leaders actively participate in both small and large group activities and step into to cover classrooms while Group Leaders are on break. Assistant Group Leaders work 25 hours per week and up to 35 hours week during school vacations and summer.
Group Leaders report to the Director of Club48 and are responsible for the daily planning and implementation of small group activities, including daily STEAM activities, and direct supervision of children 5 to 12 years of age. Group Leaders actively participate in both small and large group activities. Summer Group Leaders work 35 hours per week and must be available from the beginning of June through the end of August.
USES seeks part-time Research Interns to support its research activities. Research Interns will research and synthesize the latest research on one or a small portfolio of topics. This position is suitable for upper-level undergraduate and graduate students seeking a project for academic credit through an independent study; one position is available for a stipend. Topics include (but are not limited to) intergenerational poverty, relationship between poverty and stress at home, youth and poverty, and more. Applications are being considered for summer and fall positions with a commitment between 10-15 hours per week.
