Q: Tell me about yourself and your background
Karli: My name is Karli Colon I am 26 and I was born and raised in Boston. I am a mother of 2, Aubrey –2 and Greyson –1.

Q: How did you become involved in Income Supports and Coaching?
Karli: I came to the organization originally for childcare after being referred by a friend. I found out about Income Supports and Coaching specifically when I visited the USES website and saw the interest form for some of the other programs and resources USES has to offer.

Q: How has income supports helped you and your family?
Karli: Income Supports was very informative and made many resources available that helped me secure benefits. Through Income Supports I was connected with a lawyer from the Massachusetts Law Reform Institute who advocated for me and communicated with the DTA on my behalf.

Q: Favorite part of coaching
Karli: The budgeting excel worksheet that the Family Mobility Manager, Melody, helped me make to minimize debt and increase my savings. It was really useful in managing my finances and keeping myself on track.

Q: What would you tell others they would get out of Income Supports and participating in Family Mobility programs at USES?
Karli: I would tell other people that Income Supports and Coaching were useful, informative resources that helped me establish an organized plan of action to get my finances back on track. The Family Mobility staff were very nice and easy to work with.
