Instructors - South End Center for Adult Education (SECAE)

Job Description: Part-time teachers are needed for a variety of courses at the South End Center for Adult Education. Descriptions of current classes can be found at the SECAE Course Listing and Registration page.  Subjects include, but are not limited to:

  • Business & Investing
  • Computers
  • Dance
  • Exercise
  • Food & Wine
  • History & Contemporary Issues
  • Homes & Gardens
  • Languages
  • Life Issues
  • Literature & Writing
  • Mind, Body & Soul
  • Music
  • Philosophy & Religion
  • Photography, Film & Video
  • Theater
  • Travel
  • Work Life

SECAE courses and events run in the SPRING (March - May) and FALL (September - December) each year. We begin interviewing prospective teachers six months previous to each cycle. We accept resumes year-round. Classes run between the hours of 5-9pm, Monday - Thursday. Teachers of other areas of art and culture considered. Short-term, 4 to 10 week classes or intensive 1 or 2 days workshops.

Job Qualifications: Experienced teachers preferred, but working professionals considered. All teachers should have an interest in working in a community-based environment and should be passionate about sharing their work and knowledge with others. If you have an interesting idea for a long-term or short-term class, please don't hesitate to apply! We are looking for teachers with new and creative ideas about teaching!
