Adult EdWith the high school diploma she earned through the USES Adult Diploma program, Margaret H., a single mother, was able to enter Bunker Hill Community College to fulfill her lifelong dream of becoming a nurse. Daryl W., a student in USES literacy class, is now able to read his own mail, achieving a level of independence and confidence that had eluded him for many years. Senior Services

At USES, we understand the needs of seniors in our community. Not only do we provide assistance with senior home repair, but we also host regular social and recreational activities  as well as computer classes. In addition to our monthly health screenings and workshops for seniors, our exercise and line dancing classes are great ways for seniors to meet new friends while improving their health. USES' also runs a daily lunch program.  For only $1.75, seniors can connect with their friends while enjoying a tasty and nutritional meal!

South End Center for Adult Education

Independent from the Adult Basic Education program, the South End Center for Adult Education seeks to provide our entire community with educational opportunities that enhance personal development, enjoyment, and learning.  The classes cover a diverse range of topics including everything from the arts, to exercise and fitness, to business and investing, to computers.  Each class typically runs one night per week for some number of weeks and provides the perfect opportunity to get a taste of something new while getting to know others in your community.

Technology Education

TechnologyAs technology and computers make their way into all areas of our lives, it is more important than ever to understand how these tools can be used appropriately and effectively. Our classes, workshops and free computer access give the community a way to learn more about modern technology and seek to create a core of understanding about the most useful and common software applications. Whether you need to learn computer skills for your job, use desktop publishing, or manage all of the information in your life better, we have help for you!
