MORE GAY STORIES OF THE CITY:
AN EVENING OF BOSTON GAY HISTORY
presented by Boston Prime Timers, The History Project, and United South End Settlements

Free and open to all.
Refreshments will be served. Please join us for an evening of LGBT history hosted by Boston Prime Timers, The History Project, and United South End Settlements. A narrated, audiovisual presentation by
The History Project highlighting interesting and little-known facts about Boston's gay history will start off the evening. The History Project documents and preserves the history of
Boston's LGBT community and shares that information with the public. The organization produced the much-praised Improper Bostonians, a 200-page book which spans more than three
hundred years - from the Puritans to the 1960s. After the presentation by The History Project, members of Boston Prime Timers will join in a panel discussion of reflections on Boston
gay life in the 50s, 60s, 70s, and 80s. Boston Prime Timers is a brotherhood of mature gay and bisexual men and their friends who join together for social, educational, and cultural
activities. There will be ample opportunity for questions from the audience, so please take advantage of this opportunity to talk with those who were there - way back when - when
life was different. This evening is the much-awaited sequel to Stories of the Gay South End, a USES-sponsored event in October of 2005.

Free and open to all.
Refreshments will be served. United South End Settlements hosts United South End Artists' annual
juried group show. United South End Artists (USEA) is the sponsoring organization of South End Open Studios, the largest event held each year in the South End. Open Studios takes
place for two days each September. If you missed Open Studios, this is your chance to see some of the best art the South End has to offer. The show will be on exhibit at USES' Tubman
House from November 14th to January 21st. The building is open from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm, Monday-Thursday and 8:00 am to 7:00 pm on Fridays. Closed holidays and weekends. The opening reception of
this fine collection of works by local artists is open to all.
